Kuro Kirishima Imo Shochu is perhaps the most popular Honkaku Shochu in Japan and far beyond. Every Izakaya in Japan has this Shochu on the menu. Made from the 'Koganesgan' sweet potato and by using the Kuro (black) koji in the fermentation, a unique full product with the sweet potato is clearly present in the finish.
Drink with ice or with a dash of hot or cold water.
